We have been retained to recruit an exceptional Sales Manager for our client, an established yet growth-oriented UK division of a €200m European Timber & Forest Products group. The UK division is a large stockist of softwoods and other wood products, with a customer base largely consisting of Merchants and End-Users (manufacturers of fencing, pallets, furniture and joinery). The product range comprises of carcassing, fencing, birch lumber, fresh sawn specifications, pallet wood, OSB and Plywood. The company has a strong presence in the South East of England and seeks a talented, energetic sales professional to increase revenue.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be joining the company at a particularly exciting time in their history, after a period of change and investment as they embark on a significant growth strategy for the next 5 years.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for pro-actively driving sales growth throughout the South of England through a mixture of managing existing accounts and a heavy dose of securing new business (including a sizeable ‘dormant account’ list). The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the UK Timber industry and associated products and be ready to make a step up and develop a name for themselves with the full backing of an ambitious, dynamic operation.
Performance Objectives:
Our client is willing to offer an attractive basic salary commensurate with experience, a competitive bonus package and company car.
