Maintenance Manager, Rainham

We are delighted to be working exclusively with a one of the country’s leading producers of added value wood based panel products to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager.

Established since 1919 and part of a privately owned group of Timber & Forest Products companies with a turnover in excess of £140m per year, our client manufactures technical components for a diverse range of industries, from furniture to automotive and everything in between.

Operating from a brand new, state of the art factory set over 3 acres and running 24 hours a day, 6 days a week – this industry leader is capable of producing over 1 million individual components a week for clients across the country.

Having invested £12m into the business over the past 3 years, our client is now seeking a responsible, self-motivated and organised Maintenance Manager.

Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery that are used to produce materials run to their maximum efficiency and output.

The ideal candidate must have experience working in a mechanical engineering background, a sound understanding of sheet materials & panel products would be advantageous though this is not essential as full training will be given.

The candidate will possess the ability to work without constant supervision and must have excellent organisational skills.

Performance Objectives:

• Fault finding, remediation and planned production maintenance duties.
• Full maintenance, repair and overhaul responsibility
• Create and carry out a planned maintenance schedule
• Ensure health and safety is adhered to within your department
• Work with external maintenance support where necessary
• Working closely with the Production Manager to ensure materials are produced to strict deadlines
