"Specialist search consultant with a first-class law degree, working in the Timber and Forest Products division."
Tom recruits primarily in the Timber and Forest Products division.
Tom graduated with first class honours from Nottingham Law School and was awarded the Irwin Mitchell Prize for securing the highest marks of all graduates. From here, Tom joined the legal department of FXCM, a NYSE listed online foreign exchange and equities broker that has operations around the world and is regulated in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority, where he worked for two years before accepting an offer to join Miller McKenzie and work to drive the business forward. This background contributes to a meticulous, strategic and insightful approach to recruitment - fitting squarely within our 'high-touch' ethos. Tom has rapidly made a name for himself within the industry; working closely with a variety of clients on a strategic basis, and managing the careers of prominent senior business leaders.
Tom has a secret (ish) background in the music industry, having released music on labels including Ministry of Sound, performing around Europe and touring with such luminaries as Groove Armada.
Away from work, Tom regularly plays squash (well), tennis (averagely) and golf (fairly badly) as well as cycling when he can. In 2013 he cycled from London to Paris in aid of Breast Cancer Care - making it into the top 2% of 2013 fundraisers on Just Giving. Tom is also a long-suffering fan of Leeds United; a fact probably left unmentioned most Monday mornings, following another crushing defeat.
